Confusion in St. Joseph County as tornado sirens sound

All across St. Joseph County, people were disrupted after tornado sirens went off just before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service received a report of a funnel cloud east of Crumstown on Wednesday.

Sirens were activated by local officials, but the National Weather Service did not issue a warning.

Doppler Radar showed numerous showers across Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.

However, there was never an official tornado watch or warning in the area and no tornado touchdown.
