Parts of southern Michigan are getting a taste of wintry weather as a spring storm packing snow moves across the state.
The National Weather Service says snow was falling Monday morning in the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Jackson areas, and 3 to 5 inches was forecast for southwestern Michigan.
Forecasters say 1 to 4 inches was expected in parts of southeastern Michigan.
Winter weather advisories were in effect Monday morning in counties across the southern portion of the state. The snow was bringing with it slippery driving conditions.
