Lake-effect snow hits Michiana again

As if a record-breaking snow over the weekend wasn't enough, then system snow hit Michiana on Tuesday and now another lake-effect blast has moved in.

LaPorte County is expected to see the heaviest snow. Eventually the band will shift east, giving South Bend a better chance of old man winter. Meterologist Frank Waugh says 3-6" are expected in South Bend and 6-12" in LaPorte County with isolated locations seeing up to 18". The snow should taper off Thursday.

Some schools are closed or delayed for the day because of the weather. That list can be found here.

Police are reminding drivers to clear off their cars completely before hitting the roads and to take it slow. For information on current road conditions, go here.
