The State of Indiana has issued an Ozone Action Day for LaPorte County.
In lieu of the recent warm weather, the State is asking LaPorte County residents to make intelligent decisions to prevent an ozone increase.
Residents should avoid driving and mowing the lawn during daylight hours and walk, bike, or carpool when possible. Officials also ask that air conditioners be set to 75 degrees or higher.
