Indiana appears to have avoided the worst of a storm that dumped more than a foot of snow in parts of the Midwest.
The weather service recorded about a half inch of snow here in South Bend.
Many Hoosiers also dealt with high water after one to four inches of rain fell in much of the state.
Indiana was also hit by high winds; gusts of more than 50 miles per hour blew over semi-trucks and knocked down power lines.
No injuries were reported but, at least 40,000 homes and businesses were without electricity at some point.
Many schools across the state closed early because of power outages.
