More relief is on the way for Hurricane Ike evacuees in Texas.

The number of distribution centers is being quadrupled to 60 by the end of the day to get food, water and ice to tens of thousands of people.

For some, the wait for a return to normalcy could be days; for others it could be weeks.

The area ravaged by Ike continues the struggle for basic services. Many gas stations have run dry, and some major highways are still under water.

More than 30,000 evacuees are living in nearly 300 public shelters, and roughly 2 million people in Texas alone are without power.

President Bush is visiting Houston and Galveston today to talk with emergency officials and survey the damage.
