Flooding from heavy rain is forcing evacuations in the mid-Atlantic region.

The rains have combined with high tides in Delaware to flood roads. Officials are evacuating people in the coastal communities of Kitts Hummock and Bowers Beach.

Emergency officials in Maryland say some areas have two feet of standing water.

Two people in the town of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, were injured when high winds caused one house to collapse into another.

Flooding and downed trees are reported in Alexandria, Virginia, near Washington D.C.

Meanwhile, the cleanup from weekend tornadoes continues in the Plains and South. The twisters claimed 22 lives in Oklahoma, Missouri and Georgia.
