Snow blankets Michiana, road conditions slick

A winter storm is creating a mess in Michiana.

NewsCenter16's severe weather experts are predicting two to four inches of snow could blanket the area during the afternoon.

The Indiana State Police are advising drivers to slow down.

Indiana State Police Sergeant Tony Slocum reports the main roads are wet and side roads are "extremely slick." Police say they are seeing a rash of crashes due to people driving too fast for the road conditions.

Snow plows are out fighting the weather conditions.
