Docent Training Class - Historic Houses

The Center for History is accepting registrations for those interested in conducting guided tours of the
museum’s historic houses. Training classes will take place weekly for seven weeks from 9:00 to 11:00
a.m. beginning Friday, April 19. Pre-registration is required.

(South Bend, IN) - Center for Hospice Care is offering After Images Art Counseling – An expressive individual counseling program providing a unique opportunity to explore grief through the use of art, painting and drawings.

Pre-registration is preferred by calling 574-255-1064 or 1-800-HOSPICE. In addition to these services, individual and family counseling is available.

Groups are offered at no charge and are open to the public. (South Bend, IN) - Center for Hospice Care is offering the following support groups:
• Book Group- First and Third Monday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Books will be read and discussed. Previous completion of a Living with Loss Group is recommended.
• Crafting Memories –Second Thursday from 1:00 - 4:30 PM. A group that supports healthy memory work through crafts.
• Forget Me Not – Second Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. A monthly support group for parents who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy, childbirth, or infancy. Childcare available with pre-registration for those with minor children.
• Young Widows and Widowers Support Group – Second and Fourth Thursday from
6:00 - 7:30 PM, provides education and support for those ages 55 and younger that have recently lost a spouse. Child care available with pre-registration for those with minor children.


Pre-registration is preferred by calling 574-255-1064 or 1-800-HOSPICE. In addition to these services, individual and family counseling is available.


Yoga Based Mindfulness

Memorial BrainWorks
A yoga program based on movement, breath, and mindfulness using hatha Yoga poses and techniques. Each session builds on the previous one so that by the end of the program you will have a series of techniques and movements to help restore calm, balance and presence on a day to day basis. This class is appropriate for all levels of experience, and modifications will be given where appropriate. Facilitated by Kim Sellers of Sagewater Yoga. Ms. Sellers in an experienced, professional Yoga teacher and is registered with the Yoga Alliance at ERYT500-hour level, She has been teaching yoga locally since 1998, and is also a Reiki Master/Teacher, and Thai Yoga body worker. Bring a Yoga mat, blanket, or beach towel; empty stomach; and wear loose clothing.
$80 for full series

Lupus Support Group

Support group is free. Open to people with lupus, and friends and family. A wide varitey of topics covered-daily activities,diet, relationships, newly diagnosed etc. Monthly, every 3rd Tuesday until August 20th: Feb 19, Mar 19, Apr 16, May 21, June 18, July 16 & Aug 20.
