With Earth Day just around the corner and Spring Cleaning in full swing, let St. Anthony's help you get rid of those sensitive documents you cleaned out of your filing cabinets and closets. For a $10 donation Integra Secure Document Shredding and Destruction will shred and recycle your unwanted documents. Participants will be able to witness the destruction of all their documents. With over 26 years of secure document destruction, St. Anthony's is privilaged to partner with Integra for this event. Come support our growing community and clear out the clutter. Clean Your Files Day 2014

Vericomposting for Beginners

St. Patrick's County Park: Brown Barn South Bend, IN
Fee: $5/person
Learn the basics of composting with worms! This program will teach participants everything they need to know to recycle kitchen scraps into valuable compost for the garden and houseplants. Learn about worms and how they can help to reduce the amount of waste sent to a landfill. Participants will make a small “worm bin” to get started composting at home! Registration and payment are required by May 5. (Min. 4; max. 20). To register call 574-654-3155.

Clean Your Files Day

Help reduce the amount of paper in the landfill by dropping off your paper during this year’s Clean Your Files Day event on Wednesday, April 25 from 9am to 3pm. The City of Elkhart’s Environmental Division, Integra Certified Document Destruction and the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce invites businesses, non-profits, schools, and residents to celebrate Earth Day by dropping off your office paper as part of Clean Your Files Day at Civic Plaza in downtown Elkhart. Integra will be on hand to provide free shredding and recycling of your office paper up to 10 file sized boxes. Each box thereafter will be only $3.
