Tai Chi by the Pond

Ferrettie-Baugo Creek County Park: Moat Room, Osceola, IN
Join a certified “Tai Chi for Health Institute” instructor for Seated Tai Chi by the pond. All movements will be from a seated position and are ideal for those with limited mobility or that prefer not to stand for long periods. Tai Chi emphasizes gentle motions to benefit your health. Kidsfirst Grows

Center for History, 808 W Washington St., South Bend, IN 46601
Kids can run, jump, and more when they explore nine stations of creative fun at this event taking place in the Kidsfirst Children’s Museum. As they learn about ways to be healthy, kids will create a toothbrush painting, design a custom pillow case, and hear about the lifestyles of pioneer youth from an 1820s “woodsman.” Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $5/youth, free/adults, $3/members, and $12/family. Reservations are requested.

Yoga in the Gardens

Experience the tranquility of a relaxing hour of yoga amongst beautiful blooms and gentle waterfalls. Beginning on June 14th Wellfield Botanic Gardens is offering weekly weekend yoga classes. June through September. Barbara Naranche from Tree of Life Yoga Studio is leading classes on Saturdays from 9:15am to 10:15am. Instructors from Ray of Light Holistic Health are leading classes on Sundays from 3:00pm to 4:15pm. Classes are open to all levels of experience. Classes are $7 per session for members and $10 per session for non-members. Bring a yoga mat or towel and dress comfortably. Please check Wellfield Botanic Gardens website in case of rain. Communication and Family Relations Project

University of Notre Dame F.U.N. Lab is looking for families to participate in our new study. We are looking for families with a child with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities between 6-17, a sibling between 11-17, and parents/guardians who are married or cohabiting. This study is to improve communication within families. Families can earn up to $295. For more information, please contact our lab.
