St. Joseph County Fairgrounds South BendThe Tom and Bryan Foundation will be hosting the Fourth Annual Jim and Ricky Cruise In and Car Show on Saturday June 1st 2013 at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds in South Bend Indiana.
The show is in memory of Mishawaka Police Corporal Jim Szuba and his K9 partner Ricky who were killed in the line of duty on January 9th 2010 when their patrol car was struck by a drunk driver that was fleeing another officer.
All funds raised will go to support the scholarship fund that was established in their names.
So mark your calendars and join us for a day of fun and prizes.
What: 4th Annual Jim and Ricky Cruise In and Car Show.
When: Saturday June 1st 2013
Where: St. Joseph County Fairgrounds. South Bend Indiana

DONATIONS: The Shelter is currently accepting donations of household items in working condition and clean, gently used clothing. No exercise equipment. Donations can be dropped off at the Shelter during the week from 9 am – 4 pm and on Saturday from 9 am – 3 pm.
GENERAL INFORMATION: A large selection of quality items at great prices. All proceeds from the Resale Shop will be used for the care and feeding of the animals at the Shelter.
VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are always needed to help at the Barn Sale. Contact the Shelter for more information.

The cost of the dinner will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. There will be entertainment of two comedians, a band, a singer, and a magician for the children. Pet Refuge Trivia Night and Silent Auction

The event is divided up into teams that decorate their own tables, dress up in costumes, and you can bring your own food.
Prizes will be given away for the best decorated table, and to the winning team.

Penn Band - Test Drive

Penn High School Parking LotTest drive a Ford car and help the Penn High School Band at the same time. For every free test drive, Ford will donate $20 to the Penn High School Band.
Harold Ziegler Ford will set up a mini showroom in Penn’s parking lot on October 25th where cars will be available for a test drive.
F.O.P. Pistol Class

FOP 36 on S.R. 23The South Bend FOP 36 will offer a pistol class at their pistol range. The class will be taught by NRA and Indiana Law Enforcement Academy certified instructors. This class is for beginners and first time gun owners.
Date: September 4th, 2008 Classroom Portion September 6th Range Portion
Rain Date TBA for Range Portion
Cost is $100.00 per participant.
Topics covered will include:
Safe firearms handling
How to select, clean, and store a firearm
Firearms parts and operation
Ammunition and its function
Shooting fundamentals with an opportunity to shoot at the range
Required Equipment:
Wrap around eye protection (safety glasses)
Hearing Protection (ear plugs or muffs)
Baseball hat
Pistol
100 rounds pistol ammunition (new not remanufactured)
All participants must be registered by September 1st 2008
