Hannah Rohrer, sixth grade teacher at Mary Beck Elementary will be coordinating the program once again so get ready for some real learning and real fun! The program is open to grades K-8 and will run Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. There are no fees and it is NOT necessary to come every week, just come when you can and enjoy the fun!

All sessions are held at the Life Transition Center, 215 Red Coach Drive in Mishawaka unless otherwise noted.
Groups are offered at no charge and are open to the public. (South Bend, IN) - Center for Hospice Care is offering the following support groups:
• Book Group- First and Third Monday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Books will be read and discussed. Previous completion of a Living with Loss Group is recommended.
• Crafting Memories –Second Thursday from 1:00 - 4:30 PM. A group that supports healthy memory work through crafts.
• Forget Me Not – Second Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. A monthly support group for parents who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy, childbirth, or infancy. Childcare available with pre-registration for those with minor children.
• Young Widows and Widowers Support Group – Second and Fourth Thursday from
6:00 - 7:30 PM, provides education and support for those ages 55 and younger that have recently lost a spouse. Child care available with pre-registration for those with minor children.

Pre-registration is preferred by calling 574-255-1064 or 1-800-HOSPICE. In addition to these services, individual and family counseling is available.

Niles-Buchanan YMCA Invites The Community to Annual Fall Festival

The Niles-Buchanan YMCA will host a Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 27th Noon - 2:30. The free outdoor community event is appropriate for all ages and will feature old fashioned activities for the whole family including: ring the squash, pumpkin toss, hayrides, sawdust scramble, the pumpkin dance and so much more.

The Y will also be offering a Family Rugged Challange featuring a potato sack rack, wheel-barrow race, leap frog, tug of war, tire trek and funniest team uniform contest. All ages are welcome to participate and families should preregister.

This event is also part of the National Make a Difference Day and will feature a drop off of recyclables, a career clothes and food drive, and the creation of Thanksgiving Day cards for Meals on Wheels. You can also contact the Y now about volunteering to help with the day's activities

Operation Kidsight, sponsored by the Lakeville Lions Club, will be on-site during the lunch to offer FREE vision screening for children ages 1-6 to detect potential eye problems. All in the area are invited to attend and then stay for a FREE lunch. Parental permission for the vision screening is required by signing a form on-site.
