Niles District Library, Niles, Michigan
A free to attend event with door prizes, a cosplay contest, comic writing contest, video game tournament, role playing games, and crafts for the kids. Attendees will have the chance to meet, talk to, and buy products from local comic book artists, inkers, writers, retailers, and more. There will also be presentations and workshops on different aspects of comic books, drawing, and film making.

La Porte Civic Auditorium - 1001 Ridge Street, La Porte, IN
Hoosier Star - an evening of phenomenal vocal competition that swells with excitement as vocal soloists in the youth and adult categories compete for prizes will be held on Saturday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. (CDT) at the La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street, La Porte, Indiana. Accompanied by the Hoosier Star Orchestra and directed by Phil Bauman, vocalists will perform songs from show tunes, to rock, to ballad to country. Hoosier STAR is a community event like no other and has become one of La Porte's most attended and favored family friendly events. The audience holds all the cards, as 1st and 2nd place winners in both the adult and youth divisions is chosen by their vote alone.
General admission balcony tickets are available online at www.hoosierstar.com and at the door: $15 Adult; $5 Child (12 and under). Check online for pre-sale ticket locations for balcony adult seating at $10; and Super Coupons, available exclusively at LP County Horizon Bank branches, for $5 adult balcony seating. Domer Doggy Walk

The 8th annual Domer Doggy Walk raises money for the Saint Joseph County Spay/Neuter Assistance Program. The event includes a walk on the campus lead by students, pet contests for best trick, friendliest dog, and dog-owner look a like.Also other games like a duck pond game and agility course set up to try with your dog.
