Haunted Library

On Friday, October 31st, something spooky is going on in the children's department. Stop in anytime during regular library hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We'll have crafts and activities you can do during your visit. Wear your costume and get your picture taken for our wall of fame! Also, be sure to trick or treat at the library. The library closes at 5:00 p.m., but there be some not-so-scary ghouls haunting the library grounds who will be happy to give you candy!

4th Annual Halloween Costume Contest

Children who dress up will get a special treat, and be entered to win a pumpkin in our costume contest! Children will be split into age groups (0-5, 6-12, 13 & over). Three judges from the community will select one costume from each age group that they deem the "best." Get creative!
Right after the library's 4th Annual Halloween Costume Contest, families will take a trip through time when they watch "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" together at the Topeka Branch. This movie follows the time-travelling adventures of an canny canine and his adopted son, as they endeavor to fix a time rift they created.


Kids Art Club

1st grade and up. This activity is for kids who want to learn various techniques in drawing, painting, etc. Kids will learn one art technique and then be allowed to create any artistic piece they choose. We'll teach a different technique each month.


Super Hero Saturday

Concord Mall - Elkhart
You can meet Batman and Robin from 1- 2:30 pm! Be sure to bring your phone or a camera to get that special photo. At 3 pm head down to JC Penney's where you can watch retro Batman and Robin in action on the largest portable big screen in the Midwest - you've never seen Batman and Robin this gigantic! There will be super hero give ways throughout the day. Kid's are invited to dress as their favorite Super Hero.

Saturday, October 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 5 join us for 10:00 a.m. Sunday school (classes available for adults, teens, elementary, and preschool), 11:00 a.m. worship, and a lunch and celebration for both children and parents after!
All children must have a completed permission form on file to attend. Forms are available online and at the church/corps when dropping your child off on Friday evening. However, we ask that you please register in advance.

Day Out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014

Boys and girls will be cheerfully greeted by the #1 Engine on September 20 & 21 - 27 & 28 when he pulls into French Lick Scenic Railway for Day Out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014. In addition, children will meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway and enjoy a day of Thomas-themed activities including arts & crafts, storytelling and more.

A beginner fishing lesson for kids! We supply the equipment. Topics include equipment basics, knot tying, fish identification, and casting techniques followed by on-the-pond fishing.
