Campers will learn each machine's intended purpose and most importantly know all the proper safety techniques and expectations while working with equipment in the lab.
Structures: The students will be tasked with a real world scenario and be expected, with mentor help, to design and build a solution to the problem.
Girl PRIDE:Campers will be exposed to STEM related activities, external resources and inspiring stories of women in technology. By attending the first Girl PRIDE Sumer Camp, you are exploring ideas, getting to know other like-minded girls, and having FUN! Campers will also help plan and lead a WIT day at their respective schools.

Penn Robotics Build-a-Bot Summer Camp
Jun 10, 2013 - Jun 14, 2013 10:00am-4:00pm
Penn High School, Technology Wing
The most advanced camp offered by the Penn Robotics team is the "design, build and compete" camp called Build-A-Bot. Campers will be provided material in which to work as well as detailed instructions on the game that will be played. The students will set out in teams of no more than four students and one mentor to design one robot to play the game. The game will be announced on the first day of camp so that everyone has a fair advantage. Participants have the opportunity to choose their own teams, or the robotics camp staff will pair students up. There are many tasks that must be completed other than just building a robot. The most successful teams will utilize the talents of everyone on the team. The coach or mentor will help ensure that each participant gets a chance to experience all of the unique activities which makes up the Build-A-Bot camp.

Volleyball Camp at Granger Christian School
Jun 17, 2013 - Jun 21, 2013 6:00pm-8:30pm
Granger Christian School, 52025 Gumwood Road, Granger, Indiana 46530
Granger Christian School will be having a volleyball camp this summer!!! This camp is for kids going into grades 2nd-7th grade for the 2013-14 school year. (Camp is open to the community, and not just those who attend GCS). The camp will be held at Granger Christian School on June 17th-21st from 6:00pm-8:30pm. The cost per camper is $35.00 Proceeds from the camp will go toward GCS Athletics.
If you are looking for a camp that is unlike the average sports camp, this is it. Not only will your child be taught skills to strengthen their game of volleyball, they will also be taught important lessons that will give them the opportunity to begin a new walk with Christ or strengthen the relationship they already have with Him.
Our verse for the week will be Colossians 3:17 "and whatever your do, whether in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Each evening will consist of a time of entering in to praise and worship, fun games, followed by volleyball skill building and team play and ending with words of encouragement through Gods Word and gearing up for the next camp session.
This will be a great week and a great opportunity that you wont want to miss. If you know someone who may be interested in being a camper, they can receive more information by calling Athletic Director Ryan McAfee at (574) 272-5815 or email at rmcafee@grangerchristian.org (Registration forms can be emailed to you at your request.) All registration forms along with fees are due on or before May 31st. Sorry, no late registrations will be accepted. Hope to see you there!
