The Twin City Players to Host Auditions for A Streetcar Named Desire
Saint Joseph, Michigan
The Twin City Players (TCP) will hold auditions for its
fourth mainstage production of the 2013-2014 season next month. Auditions for the April
production of A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams will begin at 1:00 PM on
Saturday, January 4 and at 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 5. Participants are asked to prepare a
one-minute monologue and will be asked to participate in readings from the script and theatrical

The play reveals to the very depths the character of Blanche du Bois, a woman whose life has
been undermined by her romantic illusions, which lead her to reject—so far as possible—the
realities of life with which she is faced and which she consistently ignores. The pressure brought
to bear upon her by her sister is intensified by the earthy and extremely "normal" young
husband of the latter, leading to a revelation of her tragic self-delusion and, in the end, to

Auditions for "Wait Until Dark" at SBCT

South Bend Civic Theatre to hold auditions for Wait Until Dark on Wednesday August 15 and Thursday August 16 from 5:30-7:30 at the First United Methodist Church, 333 N Main St (next to SBCT).
4-6 M, 1-3 F (2 roles may be cast either male or female), 1 girl (age 12 to 16). Richard Baxter directs this edge of your seat classic about a menacing band of thieves seeking a mysterious doll. In their way is Suzy, a young blind woman who innocently received the doll. A classic thriller of a young vulnerable woman fighting for her life against evil performs October 26-November 11 in the Wilson Mainstage Auditorium.
South Bend Civic Theatre productions feature volunteer actors drawn from the Michiana region. Most non-musical auditions consist of “cold readings” from the script and directors attempt to schedule rehearsals around individual conflicts as best they can. SBCT welcomes and encourages actors of all experience levels, from novices eager to get the acting bug to seasoned veterans, to their auditions. SBCT is also committed to reflecting the diversity of the community and encourages and welcomes actors of all backgrounds to audition.

Auditions for South Bend Civic Theatre’s next Kids4Kids production of All Shook Up will be held Sunday August 19 from 3:00-6:00 PM and Monday August 20 from 6:30-9:30 PM (callbacks will be Tuesday August 21) at the First United Methodist Church in South Bend. Students from 7th-12th grade are encouraged to come get All Shook Up with this exciting mash up of Shakespeare and Elvis!
Into a square little town rides a guitar-playing, hip-swiveling rebel who changes everything and everyone he meets in this musical fantasy that'll have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jailhouse Rock," and "Don't Be Cruel."

Those intending to audition need only come one of the dates. Please be prepared to move as there is a dance section to the auditions. People interested in a solo should select one of the audition sides from the website and prepare one of the songs provided.
The First United Methodist Church is located at 333 N Main St (just south across Madison St from the theatre), downtown South Bend.
Performances for All Shook Up will take place October 19-21, with a school performance Monday October 22. All performances will be held at the O’Laughlin Auditorium at the Moreau Center on the campus of St. Mary’s College.

Auditions for Singin and Dancin into the Holidays

"The Company"” is holding auditions for their re-worked holiday review, A Merry Como Christmas, Just Singin' and Dancin' into the Holidays. We are in need of singers, Dancers, and technical support, some paid positions are available.
Auditions will be held on Monday, September 10th and Tuesday, September 11th from 7-9 at Battell Center theatre, 904 North Main, Mishawaka. Pianist will be provided for singers, If auditioning for the dance core, please dress appropriately
