The Chenery Gospel Series presents the BOOTH BROTHERS in concert in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on Friday, March 6th at 7:00 pm.
With harmony-drenched vocals and warm, easy voices the Booth Brothers not only present a clear message, they believe the message and genuinely live the faith they preach.
Ronnie Lee Booth II, lead, enjoyed singing from a very young age. As a child he attended his father’s concerts where he stood up in his seat and sang along with the music using whatever object he could find for a microphone.
Michael David Booth, tenor, wanted to be a drummer. He would use his mother’s pots and pans as a drum set. His first attempt to sing came at the age of 19.
Paul Lancaster completes the trio.
The Booth Brothers believe that people need two things: salvation and hope. Hope is what the Booth Brothers offer to people for Monday morning.

Electra by Sophocles

November 13, 14, 15 at 7:30 pm

Bethel College Everest Rohrer Fine Arts Center, 1001 Bethel Circle, Mishawaka, IN
The Sophoclean classic: When King Agamemnon returns from the Trojan War with his new concubine, Cassandra, his wife, Clytemnestra (who has taken Agamemnon’s cousin Aegisthus as a lover), kills them. Clytemnestra believes the murder was justified, since Agamemnon had sacrificed their daughter, Iphigenia, before the war, as commanded by the gods. Electra, daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, rescued her young twin brother, Orestes, from her mother by sending him to Strophius of Phocis. The play begins years later when Orestes has returned as a grown man with a plot for revenge, as well as to claim the throne.

In one week - 1st Official Water Circus in America…
Many people dream of visiting Europe one day, and immersing themselves into its culture. In less than a week you will have the chance to experience a traditional event enjoyed in every village, town, and city across the “Old World:” A GENUINE, EUROPEAN TRAVELING CIRCUS WITH A UNIQUE FEATURE NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE IN AMERICA. Cirque Italia has gathered circus performers from around the world for this year’s production. The Cirque Italia owner decided to start a NEW CONCEPT in America with a TRAVELING 35,000 GALLON WATER STAGE!!!
This 40 foot Broadway circular style stage is 4 feet high and contains 35,000 gallons of water inside. During the show, audience members will be surprised when the lid lifts up to 35 feet in the air while a CURTAIN OF RAIN AND FOUNTAINS DANCE WITH EACH PERFORMANCE MOVE!
When meeting the owner of Cirque Italia, Manuel Rebecchi, you will be surprised that such a young entrepreneur took the same footsteps as his family. Mr. Rebecchi is from Milano, Italy, and has brought his legendary family’s genuine, traditional European style circus to the United States. Manuel is the nephew of the famous Moira Orfei. Moira Orfei Circus is Italy’s most famous circus, founded in 1960. Moira Orfei has been called the original Cleopatra of the big screen and appeared in 48 movies. Her face has become synonymous with the BEST Italian Circus performances of our generation. Her husband, Walter Nones, is a circus entrepreneur and producer who not only brought fame to Moira Orfei circus, but also has produced a large number of shows such as Holiday on Ice, Moscow Ice Circus, Moscow’s Circus, The Chinese Circus and Red Army Circus. His brother, Massimiliano Nones, is a recipient of the prestigious Gold Clown award, which was given to him directly by Prince Ranieri of Monaco.
CIRQUE ITALIA celebrates its 2nd Season in America, after having entertained families across America. The Producer: Chante’ DeMoustes and Owner: Manuel Rebecchi have pulled out all the stops to make this year’s show "A Magical Experience!”
You will be sure to witness lots of EXCITEMENT, side-splitting comedy and death-defying thrills which will keep everyone laughing, gasping and having more fun than ever.
Some of the performances include: COCO THE CLOWN from Argentina who rides the WORLD’S SMALLEST BICYCLE; contortion on top of a 8 foot coat rack; a HULA HOOPING Balancing Act AROUND A RING OF WATER; A MERMAID that will dazzle little girls’ hearts while swinging above their heads; a Verticali Act ALL THE WAY FROM ITALY singing UPSIDE DOWN and more generations of circus families sharing with other families their talents from around the world. You won't believe your eyes when you see the 360 LASERMAN ACT! A truly magical illusion! Blades of laser light are hand-manipulated right in front of your eyes! Watch the laws of physics crumble when the performer actually "holds" a beam of light in his hand, splits it into two, then bends it and spins it around like a light saber! He even throws the beams over your head, up into the tent and creates blasts of excitement!
Come spend TWO hours with this exciting SPECTACULAR WATER AND ARTIST CIRCUS COLLABORATION! CIRQUE ITALIA is presented under a magnificent White & Blue Big Top Tent that is 110 feet in circumference and soars 70 feet into the air, where every seat is so close you'll think you are in the Circus. It's truly "Memories for a lifetime for Children of All Ages".

Contemporary Nutcracker

Date(s): 11/29/2014

November 29, 2014 from 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm

The Lerner, 410 S. Main St. Elkhart, IN 46516
The Conservatory of Dance is thrilled to once again present the Contemporary Nutcracker in the breathtaking Lerner Theater on Saturday November 29, 2014 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.
The Conservatory of Dance invites you to view this classic Christmas tale from a unique perspective. Imagine busy streets, bustling with shoppers talking on their cell phones, joggers hurrying from one place to the next, and, in the midst of the chaos, a girl left homeless and destitute on the bitter winter streets. She cries out for compassion and love but is met with indifferent, wintry glares.
This is the opening of the Contemporary Nutcracker as choreographed by Gregory Hancock; the story follows Klara in her magical pursuit of a family and, in doing so, helps to show the true meaning of Christmas. The holiday season is not only about the shopping, or the food, or the gifts—it is about loving our neighbors (even those who seem far from us) and realizing that every human on this earth makes up a piece of a puzzle that works towards a whole. The Contemporary Nutcracker is about unity and love both within families and around the world.
Be a part of this incredible adventure at the Lerner Theater in Elkhart. Tickets are $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for children, students, and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased through thelerner.com or at the Lerner box office. This emotional experience will influence you to love your neighbors and to understand the true meaning of the holidays because, in the end, “only kindness matters”.

St. Adalbert's Parish, 2420 Huron Street, South Bend, IN 46619
Vesper Chorale, with Vesper Chamber Orchestra, continues its Diverse Journeys Concert Series with “Discovering the Americas.” This concert features the world premiere of Concierto Sinfonico Machu Picchu for Andean Flute, by Jaime Diaz Orihuela of Lima, Peru. The Andean Flute, also known as the Quena, will be played by Nayo Ulloa, a professional Quena player originally from Peru. He will be accompanied by the Vesper Chamber Orchestra. In addition, the concert will include choral repertoire from Mexican composers, both contemporary and historical. Join us to discover the hauntingly beautiful sounds of music from Peru and Mexico.

In its Diverse Journeys Concert Series, Vesper Chorale aspires to collaborate with ethnic communities in celebrating the music and history of their respective cultures. In keeping with this goal, composer Jaime Diaz Orihuela will come as a visiting artist for a series of master classes and lectures. Previous concerts with outreach to the Spanish Language community include two performances of Ariel Ramirez's works, Navidad Nuestra (2009 and 2012) and Misa Criolla (2010), and Stabat Mater by Spanish composer, Jorge Muniz in March 2012.
