When can a bookmark make a difference in cancer awareness? When it's a moustache bookmark made in No-Shave November. The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you usually spend on shaving and grooming for a month to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.

The Women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. invite you to a night of Jazz and Poetry. This is an Open Mic Style event and we are raising awareness and collecting items for Missy's Bags of Hope, an organization that puts bags together and delivers them to cancer patients. We are collecting items to be used in these bags for admission. Some of these items include:
MISSION: TO POSITIVELY IMPACT AND INSPIRE THE LIVES OF ADULT CANCER PATIENTS UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT.
BAGS WILL BE GIVEN TO ADULTS UNDERGOING TREATMENT AND WILL INCLUDE:
● BASIC NECESSITIES: SHAVING CREAM, DISPOSABLE RAZORS,
BODY WASH, FACE SOAP, FINGER NAIL FILES, BAND-AIDS,
TOOTHBRUSHES, MOUTHWASH, TOOTHPASTE, COMBS, GUM, ETC.
● INSPIRATIONAL ITEMS: ITEMS WITH INSPIRING WORDS, SUCH AS “HOPE” “BELIEVE” “STRENGTH” ETC. ON COFFEE CUPS, HANGING WALL OBJECTS, BOOKMARKS, WATERBOTTLES ETC.
● COMFORTING ITEMS: COMFY SOCKS, HOUSE SLIPPERS, SANDALS,
TOWELS, BLANKETS, HATS, SCARVES, GLOVES, HEATING PADS

St. Joseph Valley Blue Star Mothers IN #6 has partnered with Gurley Leep for Operation Care Package. We will be putting together care packages for the troops. We will accept donations during the event as well as names and addresses of deployed military members to send packages to. In addition, we will be holding a blood drive with the South Bend Medical Foundation same time and location. Our group will be receiving $10 for each successful blood donation which will help us with our shipping costs for our care packages.
