A new report suggests technology can only do so much when it comes to keeping kids safe on the Internet.
The report by a Harvard-led panel takes a look at some of the efforts made to keep kids from having unwanted contact on the Internet.
But it found that things like technology to verify age aren't as effective as some think.
The report concludes that parents, teachers and other adults play a key role in protecting kids from online dangers.
The Internet Safety Technical Task Force also played down fears that online predators might target kids. The study found that in many cases, young people were fully aware that they were meeting up with adults for sexual activities.
