An Idaho lawmaker is considering introducing a bill in the state legislature to force people to use their real names when commenting on the Internet.

Republican state representative Stephen Hartgen tells the Twin Falls Times-News that people commenting anonymously "discourages people from participating in civil life" and cheapens debate.

Democratic representative Wendy Jaquet says the state should stay out of it and people who are concerned should contact the company running the Web site.
