It's already given people a new way to look at video games and at fitness. Now, the Nintendo Wii is looking to take on the field of music.
Wii Music gives players a way to experiment with music even as they try to produce arrangements that are pleasing to the ear. The title gives players the opportunity to have at it with more than five dozen instruments. And the only limit to creativity is your imagination.
To play the instruments, you use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to mimic the real-life motion of playing various instruments -- like moving a bow across the strings of a violin or playing a vibraphone. The various songs in the Wii Music playlist can be remixed with different sounds. There is also a series of mini-games that let you do things like conduct an orchestra or create your own music videos.
The title is rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB.
