Digital TV shift likely to have problems

Whenever something new rolls around, there are always a few glitches. And that's seems to be the situation in the upcoming switchover to Digital TV.

Recently, there was a test run in Wilmington North Carolina -- a city where broadcasters decided to launch the new system on September 8th.

By all accounts, things went well. But there's evidence that the relative success may point to problems down the road.

In the first five days of the rollout, there were more than 18-hundred people who complained to the Federal Communications Commission.

More than half of those who complained to the FCC were unable to get one or more channels.

If the nationwide launch goes out as well as it did in Wilmington, there would be hundreds of thousands of complaints from TV viewers around the country.
