The Sony PSP is getting another makeover. Sony has announced it will launch a new version of its hand-held entertainment system soon.
The new one will continue with the smaller, lighter theme that Sony used the last time it rolled out an upgrade of the hand-held unit. The biggest change for the device: its LCD screen. It is a new take on the high-resolution display the system currently has. The screen also features improvements that Sony says will make it easier to see in bright lighting, including sunlight. It will also have a built-in microphone.
Users can play games that require a microphone or make calls using Skype and other communications tools. And the device will have a video-out jack.
Sony says its new PSP will be available in four colors and will be in stores in North America, Europe, Japan and Asia starting in October.
