The Super Bowl is just a few days away on NBC and according to USA Today the average person will eat nearly 2,500 calories during the game in one sitting.
Thursday on 16 Morning News we made some easy, but unique, game day items like Cajun Shrimp Panchetta Nachos and a Seven Layer Greek Dip - thanks to the folks at Martin's Supermarkets in Heritage Square.
For dessert - Chef Ora Smith whipped up chocolate dipped strawberries covered in pretzels, peanuts, granola and crushed coffee beans.
Chef Smith says you can take typical game day fair and change it up. It often costs much less than buying everything pre-made.
"I would encourage people to keep it simple for these types of parties - you're going to want a lot of food and you're not going to want to spend all day doing it," Smith said.
