Had you of paid attention to the city and what it did to prepare you would have realized all the jobs that actually were created. Though it was temporary, a job is a job.

This is not creating a job, since they already had a job and are simply going to a different area to do the same job. Geez. Creating a job is giving a job to someone who doesn't have one

A job is a job, temporary or not. My daughter works as an independent contractor as a model and coordinator for a number of different activities for events like the Super Bowl, Notre Dame games and regional trade shows. The $2,000 she made for 6 days at the Super Bowl seems like a job, it just doesn't show up in the statistics because she's making her own job.

Producing Jobs? Should have read Producing Temporary Jobs. Giving the unemployed reader a false sense of hope in my opinion.

There a quite a few local NBC-NY techs working the game also . Doug Bullard, Matt and Mitch Hooton, Steve Poland are working with audio/camera ops, and Mike Borowski is one of the 75 camera operators for NBC!

Dave, there is no need to wonder, ISP Troopers always drive their cars to the games. Dozens and dozens of Troopers do this to get to every home N.D. Football Games to direct trafic.

I wonder if the State Trooper that is working security took his own car or his ISP Police car? Just to spend more of tax payers money to benefit himself.

If that's a job then I've created many jobs every time I hire a kid to mow my lown, shovel my drive, wash my car, etc.. Only the local media could call that "producing jobs.". No wonder we're the laughing stock of the Midwest.

Including Mel Raines, a native of South Bend, who is Host Committee VP of Super Bowl Operations would be more appropriate than some bystander who supposedly worked on I465 at some point in time.
