National security officials are urging fans attending Sunday's Super Bowl to pack lightly for the game, with the caveat that certain items won't be allowed.

Authorities warn that security screening at downtown Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium will be significantly heightened for the game and bags brought to the venue will be carefully inspected.

Ticket-holders are urged to carry nothing larger than a small purse or bag. Officials say cases for binoculars and cameras will not be allowed, along with camcorders, laser lights and pointers, coolers and backpacks. Binoculars and cameras with lenses shorter than six inches are permitted.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow adequate time to pass through security.

Private aircraft will be barred Sunday from flying in a large radius around the sports complex.
