This week's Focus on Faith looks at the question of what happens to pets when they pass away according to Catholics? According to one Florida woman, she knows what happens and why.
Susi Pittman grew up in a home she says wasn't particularly religious, but she herself became religious and was an animal lover. Pittman has adopted or rescued 79 animals and written a book titled, "Animals in Heaven? Catholics Want to Know!: Recognizing the Divine Providence at Work in Creation".
She's also the founder of an interactive website that has current information and education on the topic, along with advocacy opportunities in the good stewardship of the earth and it's creatures.
