The Monroe Circle Community Center is a well established part of the South Bend community as it does what it can to help those in need. The center itself is located at the corner of Taylor street and Western avenue.

Leroy King and Dan Blacketor, both of the community center, appeared on 16 Sunday Morning to talk about what kind of programs they run and how faith plays a role in what they do.

Every Monday through Thursday the center holds GED classes for those seeking an education, partnered by the South Bend School Corporation. Family literacy programs and after-school programs are also held. One thing King says they've focused on are their community dinners, where they'll discuss life lessons and simply spend time with others over a good meal.
