Although the price of crude oil has dropped $14, gas prices in Michiana are predicted to rise.

Even though prices at the pump have dropped slightly this week, gas is predicted to rise over $3.75. Some gas stations earlier on Friday were selling unleaded gasoline for $3.50 a gallon.

By the end of Friday, prices at many stations had spiked at $3.70.

Those sudden increases even have experts at www.gasbuddy.com, stunned.

"I really don't trust huge industry anymore," said consumer Carl Grove. "They're too powerful, they can do whatever they want to do. They practically own the Congress."

While drivers in the Great Lakes region are seeing this spike, Gas Buddy reports that motorists in suburban St. Louis are paying $3.19 a gallon and drivers in Memphis, Tenn. are paying $3.32 a gallon.
