Years ago, station wagons were only meant for soccer moms.
Nowadays, that's not the case, and the new Volvo V50 proves it.
Sporty, yet safe
Spacious, sporty, and safe: those are some of things 2006 Volvo V50 offers.
"We sell these to any individual who wants to put a lot of stuff in the back, but also wants something pretty sporty," says Jordan Account Executive Bradly Boyd.
It comes at an affordable price compared to some of its competition at about $30,000.
"Somebody that wants a little more room in the back, more than a Sedan, the V50 fits that and is at an entry level price," says Boyd.
The small wagon features a sleek floating console, a spacious back seat and trunk, and a long list of safety features Volvo is well known for.
Overall, like any Volvo, customers know it will last forever.
"The average life expectancy of a Volvo is 18 years and this is not an exception with new entries they are making," says Boyd. "It's a lot sportier than your traditional wagon and I think sales reflect that."
