Name: Angelo Di Carlo
Title: Sports Reporter

By the age of 4, Angelo was in love with sports so much that he was copying and memorizing the entire sports page. Coming from a big Sicilian family, he also had to talk and debate his way through nearly every holiday.

So it only made sense that he tied the two together and became a sportscaster.

Angelo joined the WNDU sports team in March 2007 from his hometown of Allentown, PA where he worked for the nation's first cable company---Service Electric Cable TV. Angelo was a reporter for the station's daily sports show and also served as a sideline reporter and play-by-play announcer for TV2's high school sports game broadcasts.

Angelo follows in the footsteps of his older brother, Al, who is the assistant sports director at Service Electric. Al got his younger brother his first job at TV2 when Ang was just 16.

A 2005 graduate of Syracuse University, Angelo was Sports Director of the nation's largest and oldest student-run television station while in college.

After his freshman year, Angelo became the radio play-by-play announcer for a minor league basketball team coached by "Chocolate Thunder" Darryl Dawkins. He worked as the "Voice of the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs" for three summers from 2002-2004.

Angelo's greatest sports memory is not from covering an event, but from being there as a fan. Angelo was one of only 25 students who went to all 6 NCAA Tournament games when his Syracuse ORANGEMEN won the Men's Basketball National Championship in 2003 in New Orleans.

Angelo loves to tell interesting stories that go beyond just the sports world. If you have one, please email him at angelo.dicarlo@wndu.com and let him know!
