Nick McGurk joined NewsCenter 16 in September 2008.

Before that, Nick worked as a general assignment reporter at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He's worked as a freelance producer for CNN in Chicago and interned for Bloomberg News in Washington, D.C. He also spent six months in Germany, where he reported for Deutsche Welle Radio's English-language program, which is broadcast worldwide.

Nick graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a minor in German. He grew up in Minnesota, which means he’s used to cold winters…but still doesn’t like them!

Nick is slowly figuring out twitter, and will send updates on stories he’s working on throughout the day. Follow him: @nickmcgurk
