Over the years, Notre Dame has had some very good players from
Texas: Dan Novakov, Robin Weber, the Huffman brothers and a pretty fair wide receiver named Tim Brown.
Irish cornerbacks coach Kerry Cooks broke through on the recruiting trail Wednesday by landing three Texas players, all of whom received interesting from the University of Texas.
Among those three Texas recruits to sign with ND Wednesday was linebacker Kolin Hill. His twin brother Kaleb meanwhile signed with Boise State.
The two made the decision to separate because they felt Notre Dame wasn't something Kolin could pass up on.
"It's such a prestigious school and the thought of Notre Dame--Notre Dame is a big deal," Kolin says of signing with the Irish. "It was pretty much an easy decision. I talked with my family and it was the best decision for me."
His brother couldn't agree more.
"We felt that Notre Dame was the place for him," Kaleb adds. "We felt that he would do special things there, not only athletically but academically over there. We're both going to two great programs, it's going to be special for both of us."
