The Fighting Irish are one win away from being in a national championship game.
And, that means the demand for tickets and travel packages for the USC game is keeping travel agents busy.
The USC game is always a popular ticket. Staff at Anthony Travel says that there has been an increased number of inquiries since the Irish became number one.
The travel agency has already sold out of their travel packages for the game and started the planning process in case the team ends up traveling to Miami.
A season that began on the emerald isle now lures fans to the West Coast. Students packed up their bags Tuesday to support a team that has kept them cheering game after game.
"We're headed out to California this afternoon," said Notre Dame senior Laura Colletti.
For students like Colletti, Thanksgiving break means a chance to see Irish go undefeated.
"Going undefeated senior year, it is crazy," she said. "I don't know what I'll do, but I'll definitely be really happy about it."
It is year she says she will remember no matter what is on the scoreboard Saturday.
"it is different than my freshman through junior year just because everyone is so excited for our team," Colletti said.
The excitement that has spread all the way to the Anthony Travel office on campus.
"Phones have been going crazy," said Ann Roepke. "Lots of emails, lots of inquiries."
The staff has been planning for a bowl game trip for a couple of months.
And, with a number one ranked team -- there's been plenty of talk about Miami.
"We knew it would be popular no matter where we were going to go for a bowl game," Roepke said.
If the Irish win, Miami travel packages will go on sale Sunday. Otherwise, bowl game packages will go on sale in early December.
