Floyd thanks Notre Dame for 2nd chance at pep rally

Irish star wide receiver Michael Floyd thanked Irish coach Brian Kelly and Notre Dame for giving him a 2nd chance to play football and earn his degree while speaking at the final Pep Rally of the season Friday night at Purcell Pavilion.

Floyd's future was very much in doubt after a DUI in March. He was suspended from the team but reinstated before the season.

He takes the field Saturday as one of the most prolific wide receivers in Notre Dame history. He shared a special hug with Irish coach Brian Kelly after getting the opportunity to speak to the crowd. Floyd also thanked his family and the Irish fans for their support.
