Major traffic increases are in the works in South Bend and Mishawaka this weekend as Notre Dame and Michigan fans arrive for one of the biggest home games of the season.
Lane closures along Michigan Street in front of Café Navarre are sure to slow traffic. A large crane will be lifting equipment to the top of the building. The closures will last through Friday, with signs and workers directing traffic.
Capital Avenue remains closed between 12th street and Lincolnway in Mishawaka as crews work on the railroad tracks, and Bremen Highway is closed for repaving from Chandler Boulevard to Dragoon Trail.
On game day Saturday, many streets around the university will become one-way travel only starting around 3 p.m.
Kickoff is at 7:30 at Notre Dame Stadium, with Countdown to Kickoff starting one hour before on NewsCenter 16.
