Notre Dame unveiled the 25th edition of "The Shirt" for the 2014 Irish football season Friday evening at the Bookstore.

The design includes the multiple members of the Notre Dame community and largely features the home of Irish Football - Notre Dame Stadium. The front design of The Shirt 2014, set against the dark blue heather fabric, is a graphic representation of the north entrance of the stadium. It is through this the entrance that the team and band enter the stadium after the players walk from the Hesburgh Library. The phrase on the front, “Then, Now, Forever,” sits atop the stadium recalling the legacy, present and future of Notre Dame Football. This phrase was originally coined by a student member of The Shirt Committee.

The stadium is also featured on the back of The Shirt 2014, with the design vantage point set from on the field. From this perspective one sees the players preparing to run out of the tunnel through the band in their traditional ND formation. In the background students and fans fill the stadium seats, wearing The Shirt and cheering the team on by chanting, “WE ARE ND!”

The Shirt 2014 is a new 60/40 blend of Cotton and Polyester rather than previous 100% cotton shirts. The Shirt is produced by Alta Gracia, who also produced The Shirt in 2012 and 2013.
