No love lost between Notre Dame and USC

As Notre Dame and USC get set to battle in the first night game at Notre Dame Stadium in 21 years, Trojans Athletic Director Pat Haden says the rivalry has lost its lost from a few decades ago.

Some Irish players don't see it that way. They still look at this as a marquee matchup--and their biggest all season.

"They don't like us and we don't like them," says cornerback Gary Gray.

Notre Dame beat USC last year in LA to snap an 8-game losing streak in the series. Now the Irish are looking to snap another skid.

"We haven't beaten them here since 2001, we just want to go out and win this game," Gray continues.

Notre Dame's other Gray--running back Jonas Gray--sees it in similiar way.

"Two storied traditions and they've gotten the best of us in the past," Jonas says. "We haven't won a home game against them since 2001. When you think about that and where this program is headed and where we want to be--beating USC is at the top of our to do list."
