Louis Nix can't wait to play in home state for National Championship

Mark Notre Dame nose tackle Louis Nix down in the category of guys who wants the national championship game to be here sooner rather than later.

Notre Dame is still 23 days away from facing Alabama in the BCS Title Game January 7th in Miami.

"We have a lot of time to prepare--that's the part I don't like," Nix said last week. "I want to scout who I'm playing against. Alabama is a great team--there's a lot to look out, a lot to handle. You gotta come with your 'A' game but I'm just ready for the game to come. It's going to be exciting and that's when it's going to hit me. I'm just ready to play."

Nix is from Jacksonville, Florida and will play in home state for a bowl game for the 2nd year in a row. Last year, Notre Dame lost to Florida State in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando.

"That's why I'm ready and I'm so pumped," Nix explains. "I get to go back home and my mom gets to see me play in Florida for the 2nd year. My family is happy, I'm happy and I'm just ready to get it done."
