Notre Dame running back Jonas Gray has a "significant" knee injury and will miss the rest of his senior season.

Irish coach Brian Kelly said Sunday he didn't have results of the MRI on Gray's right knee. But he expects it will confirm "what we know to be a significant knee injury." The Irish (8-3) are preparing for next week's season-finale against No. 4 Stanford as if Gray will not play.

NBC reported that Gray had torn his ACL during Saturday's game against Boston College.

Gray finishes with 791 yards rushing on 114 carries and 12 touchdowns. His 26-yard rumble on the first drive against Boston College on Saturday extended his scoring streak to eight games, the
longest by a Notre Dame running back since 1998.

Notre Dame moved up two spots to No. 22 in this week's Associated Press Top 25.
