Notre Dame is celebrating 125 years of football this fall and keeping to a time honored tradition since the late 1980s, the university unveiled "The Shirt" Friday, which will be worn by the student body and fans throughout the 2012 season.
This year's shirt is Navy Blue and features current Seahawk and Notre Dame alum Golden Tate on the front. Tapping into the tradition of 125 years of football, the shirt reads "Shake Down the Thunder" on the front.
The back of the shirt features current Tampa Bay running back Robert Hughes as the centerpiece with Allen Pinkett and Tim Brown in the backdrop.
The logo and words "125 YEARS of Notre Dame Football" are also featured on athe back.
"The Shirt" costs $18 and can be purchased at the bookstore.
