Irish hold last practice before Blue-Gold Game on Saturday

The last spring practice for the Irish football team was held on Wednesday.

The 83rd annual Blue-Gold Game is set for Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.

There is still a competition going on at the quarterback position. Tommy Rees, Everett Golson, Andrew Hendrix, and Gunnar Kiel will all get work with the first team on Saturday, and not much will be held back.

Coach Brian Kelly says, “We’re going to run our offense, and we’re going to run our defense. Our quarterbacks are live, all four quarterbacks are live. They need to be live, they need to be part of it. We can’t put a cylinder around them. They’ve got to get into the flow of the game, and the action.”

The Blue-Gold Game will kick off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and may be seen on the NBC Sports Network.
