Irish fans pumped to face Alabama

Irish fans are ready for the big game in Miami.

Before the announcement was made official, Notre Dame fans at the Linebacker Lounge were gearing up to celebrate the soon-to-be-announced Notre Dame versus Alabama championship

With just 35 days until the BCS National Championship, Notre Dame fan Patrick Vanberden says this has been a “magical” year, “we're going to beat them, we're going to whoop them. We have the best front seven and we're going to win it.”

After an undefeated season, fans out at the bar welcomed the news of Notre Dame’s trip to the championship, ““you knock off Michigan, you knock off SC you knock off Oklahoma, in time good things happen, so we sit back, relax and let good things happen,” said Irish fan Mike Thompson.

A graduate of the class of 1973, Thomas Howlin, said he would do pretty much anything to get a chance to see the game, “at 64 years old this is probably my last chance, my wife and my car are for sale for two tickets, and there aren’t very much miles on each one of them.”
