For the 4th time this season, Notre Dame plays away from Notre Dame Stadium Saturday when the 5th ranked Irish square off with 8th ranked Oklahoma in Norman.
Two of the previous three were neutral site games as the Irish played Navy in Dublin and Miami in Chicago. The only true road game so far is Michigan State, which the Irish won 20-3.
Despite not being on the road in more than a month, the Irish players say they are excited to hit the road. They say they embrace going into hostile environments and the challenge that it brings.
Norman will be hostile or at the very least just very tough to win at. The Sooners are 79-4 at home since Bob Stoops took over as head coach in 2000.
