Boston College embraces rivalry against Irish

The Boston College Eagles are just 3-7 this season, but they are coming off a big win over NC State last week, giving them some confidence.

The Eagles and the Irish have a strong rivalry due to the similarities between the two schools, and BC always gets up for Notre Dame. They don’t like being treated like the younger brother.

So, regardless of record, the Irish will certainly get the Eagles best shot on Saturday.

Boston College Coach Frank Spaziani says, “Obviously, the rivalry is very intense. I’m not sure who it’s more intense on, what level, but obviously, because of the commonality of a lot of things besides the football program, there is a great rivalry. I know our coaches and players enjoy playing in it, and I know the alumni and fans enjoy watching it we hope to keep the tradition of it going along, albeit a tough task.”

Kickoff is at 3:00 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium. Countdown to Kickoff will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Channel 16.
