Jeremy Hollowell scored 16 points, and Noah Vonleh finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds in his college debut Friday as Indiana overwhelmed Chicago State 100-72.

The Hoosiers (1-0) won their 16th consecutive season-opener and their 29th straight home opener, though this time they did it with a completely revamped lineup. After losing four 1,000-point scorers from last season, coach Tom Crean started two freshmen, two sophomores and senior Will Sheehey.

Indiana took control by ending the first half on an 8-0 run and starting the second half on an 8-1 spurt to make it 55-29.

The Cougars (0-1), playing their first season in the Western Athletic Conference, were led by Clarke Rosenberg with 27 points and Eddie Denard with 10.

Indiana set a school record by making 45 free throws.
