HOUSTON The Grand Prix of Houston race ended Sunday when IndyCar driver Dario Franchitti's car went airborne into the fence on the final lap.

Franchitti was taken to a hospital, but team owner Chip Ganassi said he was alert and complaining only of a sore ankle and back.

Will Power held off new IndyCar championship leader Scott Dixon to win the second race of the Grand Prix of Houston on Sunday.
