Dale Earnhardt Jr. has ended his 4-year, 143 race drought with a win.

Junior dominated Sunday afternoon's race at Michigan, leading more than 200 laps as he picked up the checkered flag for the first time since June 15, 2008.

That win came on the same track at Michigan and both came on Father's Day---a fitting tribute to Dale Earnhardt Sr. who passed away after a crash at Daytona 11 years ago.

The race at Michigan was delayed by more than two hours due to rain. Tony Stewart finished 2nd. Stewart took part in a wacky Saturday where he qualified 8th at Brooklyn but then had to stick around for an extra practice session from 6-7:30pm after Nascar made a change in what tires they would use for Sunday's race.

That extra practice session and storm cells in the air, caused Stewart to arrive late to Plymouth Speedway where he was scheduled to race in a dirt series race. Stewart arrived at Plymouth around 10pm. Seconds later, rain and lightning arrived as well--postponing the race until August 18th. Stewart will return for that race and tickets from Saturday will be honored then.

Stewart was back on a plane flying from Plymouth to Brooklyn at 11:30pm Saturday night.

Matt Kenseth was 3rd, followed by Greg Biffle and Jimmy Johnson.

Ryan Newman finished 15th.
