Washington looks to reach season-long goal of reaching state final

Antwon Jones' message to his team has been consistent all season long---let's get to the state championship game.

For the first time since winning it all in 1973, South Bend Washington is on the brink of reaching their season long goal.

The Panthers will travel to face undefeated Leo Friday night at 7pm in the 4A Semi-State. The winner goes to Lucas Oil Stadium to play for the state championship.

Jones feels his kids know the long-term goal is now a short-term goal but that hasn't slowed down the intensity in practice as the Panthers prepare this week.
